We are first and foremost a family business and have been part of the independent, boutique retail movement since 2004 when we opened our first store in Bowness-on-Windermere.  As they say the rest is history!  Fast forward to present and we have 3 stores in the Lake District and 1 in Brighton.

We don’t follow trends, instead we create products with thoughtful design that people love over time, not just for a season or the duration of a trend.  We are very proud to say that our products are ethically traded - we can say this with confidence as we have been personally working with the producers, packers and shippers for over a decade and always pay the price that is asked or we find alternate methods or materials so that the item can be produced at a cost that allows a decent profit for the producer.  

The majority of our products are designed by ourselves or chosen from our producers current collections.  Our producers are mainly small family businesses in Bali who we work personally with.  They make everything by hand and are quite simply extremely talented at what they do!  They pass down their skills generation by generation and their Hindu culture and religion is deeply influenced by dance, music and art.

If you have a chance to visit one of our stores we have created an environment that is hassle free and you are encouraged to ‘browse’ till your hearts content, with no sales pitch (unless you want it!).  Feel free to tap your toes to the Jazz or French Cafe music wafting through the air and enjoy the feeling of discovering something that inspires you.
